Your Personal Guide to Riding DART

Do you need personalized training? Travel Orientation may be beneficial for you.

DART's Mobility Ambassador Program provides FREE Travel Orientation to anyone who needs a little extra help using public transit. (DART's bus and rail service)

What is Travel Orientation?

Travel Orientation teaches the skills necessary to navigate public transit in a safe and independent manner. The instruction is personalized and taught with the customer's needs, abilities, and specific travel plans in mind.

Training consists of outings in which a DART Mobility Ambassador instructs an individual or group on how to prepare a trip plan, pay fare, and travel safely between their origin and destination.

What are the benefits of using public transit?

Greater Freedom
Public transit allows spontaneous and flexible travel. Trips do not need to be scheduled in advance with family, friends, or through an on demand service provider.

Greater Sense of Independence and Empowerment
Public transit gives you the opportunity to go where you want, when you want.

Increased Access
Public transit provides greater access to employment, educational opportunities, shopping, and community and social activities.

Saves Money
Public transit can save you money compared to driving personal vehicles or utilizing on demand vehicle services.
