Public safety is a top priority for DART. We train vehicle operators extensively on keeping passengers, pedestrians, and motorists safe. In addition, our bus operators follow strict rules to ensure everyone's safety and comfort. In consideration of others and your safety, please observe the following rules when riding DART buses and trains and using transit facilities (bus stops, transit centers, and administrative offices). 

Please do not pursue the bus when it has already departed from its stop. People who need to remain standing due to full capacity or medical needs should ensure they are holding firmly onto the bars, poles, or straps. Joyriding is strictly prohibited, and drivers are happy to offer information, but please avoid conversing with them while in motion. By law, nobody is allowed to be positioned beyond the yellow line found near the front of the bus by the driver when it is in transit. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
