Flyer Easiest Ride to the State Fair of Texas
DART's State Fair Flyer whisks you and your family straight to the fun every Saturday and Sunday, from September 30 to October 22. Park free at any of eight conveniently located transit centers, and ride to and from the Smirnoff Music Center entrance at the fairgrounds in air-conditioned comfort. The largest state fair in the country is "Celebrating the 21st Century" this year. Attractions include the Robot Zoo of eight giant robot animals, the Aqua Blast diving show, and TXU's fabulous nightly laser show with video images, fireworks and vibrant music. Chevy Truck Main Stage headliners include Christina Aguilera, Destiny's Child and Lonestar. Pay your one-way Flyer fare (exact change required) when you board the bus: $3.50 one-way fare for adults, $3 one-way fare for children ages 5 to 11, seniors 65+ and customers with disabilities. Customers also can purchase combo tickets that include round-trip State Fair Flyer fare and State Fair admission at participating area Kroger grocery stores for $12.00 each.
Flyer departures from eight conveniently located transit centers on Saturdays and Sundays run every 30 minutes, from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The first bus leaves the fairgrounds at 12:00 p.m. and then every 30 minutes until midnight.

Special Pearl Station Shuttle, Big Tex Express again available on weekends Every Saturday and Sunday, fairgoers can ride DART's light rail to Pearl Station, and for $1 more board a special DART shuttle bus to the Texas State Fair and back. Departures will be every 20 minutes from 9:30 a.m.; last shuttle bus leaves the Fair at 11:30 p.m.
On Saturdays and Sundays, motorists can ride the Big Tex Express -- trains from the Trinity Railway Express commuter rail service -- between remote parking areas and the gate near the Cotton Bowl. The free shuttle train seats 200 passengers and departs continuously from 10 a.m. until midnight. The State Fair of Texas offers acres of lighted and secured parking off Haskell west of Dolphin Road -- easily accessible from I-30. Parking is $5.
