 Skyrocketing gas prices are driving more North Texas commuters to choose a $2.50 DART Day Pass over the family car. For the six months ending March 31, weekday ridership on DART's bus and rail services is up 10.6% to 218,924 -- nearly 21,000 more riders a day!
Calculate your savings
A Local Day Pass costs $2.50 and a Premium Day Pass - good for unlimited rides on DART, the TRE train linking Dallas and Fort Worth, and the Fort Worth T - goes for just $4.50. With gas prices hovering at $3 a gallon, it's easy to see how riding public transit can add up to big savings. Monthly passes -- $40 for Local or $70 for Premium -- save even more.
How much can you save? Visit www.DART.org/fares and click on the dollar sign to calculate the cost of your auto commute vs. the cost of riding DART. You'll also find a list of nearby DART pass sales outlets, including Albertson's, Minyard, Carnival, Sack 'N Save, Fiesta, Malone's and Jerry's grocery stores, and the DART Store at Akard Station in Downtown Dallas. Or buy your pass at the online DART Store, and we'll mail it to your home or office.
