Brad J. Cummings joined DART in April 2021. Prior to DART, Cummings successfully served as Director or Chief Procurement Officer at three agencies, including Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) in Jacksonville, Florida, Valley Metro in Phoenix, Arizona, and the Utah State Board of Education.

DART's Procurement Department oversees the award and management of DART construction, services, and commodity contracts. With responsibility for three divisions: Supply Chain Management; Operations and Policy; and Construction and Professional Services. Cummings not only oversees the contract award process, but also ensures all contracts and purchases are conducted and administered in accordance with DART's procurement regulations and in compliance with all applicable statutes.
