Park Lane Station is an aerial oasis of simulated falling water and wave-shaped flowerbeds at ground level, rising 24 feet on water-blue columns to the platform near this busy shopping and entertainment district. Austin sculptor John Christensen created a concrete seating pedestal near the bus-waiting area to support his bronze sculpture representing a human form relaxing. The comfortable seating and weathered bronze focus on the idea of "providing a moment's calm in the chaotic setting of a major city intersection," he said.
