DART Hosts 18th Annual Senior Citizens Health Fair
In celebration of Older Americans Month, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) along with the Dallas Area Agency on Aging and Eddie Deen's Ranch will conduct an information and health fair on Thursday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to noon.
More than 40 vendors will provide information at Eddie Deen's Ranch, 944 South Lamar Street, Dallas (Mapsco 45-P) on a host of services that are available to senior citizens and caregivers. Medical staff will also be on site for vision prostate, blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol screenings.
There is no charge to attend the fair titled Never Too Old To Play. Participants will enjoy door prizes, entertainment and refreshments provided by community partners: Corner Bakery, Bentley Manor, and United Healthcare. Attendees are encouraged to take DART Rail's Red or Blue Line to the Convention Center Station or park in the lot next to Eddie Deen's for a fee.
For more information, contact Jessica Lennon, DART's Manager of Community/Education Outreach at 214.749.2582. Visit www.DART.org or call 214.979.1111 for information on riding DART to the event.
