Chrisman elected DART Board Chair

Chrisman has been president of The Chrisman Company, a full service commercial real estate brokerage firm, since 1989. He was a member of the Carrollton Planning and Zoning Commission before joining the DART Board. He holds a BA degree from Oklahoma State University and a Commercial Broker License in Texas and Oklahoma. Board members also elected Robert W. Strauss vice chair, Irving member John Danish secretary and Dallas member Pamela Dunlop Gates assistant secretary. Officers serve one-year terms. Strauss, a 2005 City of Dallas appointee to the DART Board, is a partner in the Texas-based law firm of Strasburger & Price, L.L.P., Attorneys at Law. His primary areas of practice are real estate, housing and finance. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from New York University, a law degree from the Brooklyn Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College of the University of New York. Danish was appointed to the DART Board to represent Irving in 2005. An attorney in private practice, Danish is a former deputy mayor pro tem and former chairman of the Irving Planning and Zoning Commission. He holds an undergraduate degree from Wheaton College in Illinois and a law degree from Southern Methodist University. Dunlop Gates works as an attorney in Dallas. Prior to joining the DART Board as an appointee of the Dallas City Council, she was a member of the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Board of Directors. She also has served as Dallas City Council District 7 appointee to the 2001 City of Dallas Charter Review Commission. Dunlop Gates earned her law degree from Texas Southern University and earned a Bachelors of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Arlington.
