Ride DART to the
Allstate Red River Rivalry
on Saturday, Oct. 12.

Kickoff at 2:30 p.m.

Sign up for email and text alerts to get the latest service information.

To make your ride as smooth as possible, DART recommends buying your passes with the GoPass® app. It’s the most convenient way to pay your fare, particularly if you’re traveling in a large group.

Please note: If you purchase your fare at the platform with a GoPass® Tap card, a contactless credit or debit card, or a payment-enabled mobile device, you must use a unique form of contactless payment for each rider. Your contactless card or digital wallet serves as your ticket and proof of payment.

10 Keys to a Winning Trip!

  1. Know the game plan: DART has beefed up service to give you a great game day experience on Saturday, Oct. 12. (Please note: DART cannot guarantee your team wins.) See below for more details about DART service to the game.
  2. Rely on your coaching staff: DART staff will be at key stations well before game time to help you buy passes and make connections. If you're lost or need information, let us assist! After the game, DART staff will be on hand to help you with your return trip.
  3. Don't make buying a pass a contact sport: Buy your DART pass with a contactless credit or debit card or your mobile device. Just tap and go -- it's that simple! See the DART Fare Information section below for complete details.
  4. Tap first: Make sure to tap your contactless card or mobile device to a reader on a DART Rail platform or bus prior to boarding.
Limit one tap per contactless card or device per rider (each rider must use a unique card or device).
  5. Activate, activate, activate: If you use the GoPass® app, make sure to activate your GoPass ticket before you board. Day Passes are only valid on the day of activation.
  6. Keep it a clean game: : DART buses receive nightly cleanings and light rail vehicles are cleaned at the eight terminal stations throughout the day with a focus on high-touch areas including handrails, door buttons, grab rails and hanging straps.
  7. Park it: FREE parking is available at many DART facilities. Skip the hassle and expense of parking around the fairgrounds -- find the Park & Ride nearest you by clicking here.
  8. Run the spread: Spread out along the platform as your train approaches and use all available doors for boarding. Also, please note that the center section of each rail vehicle has low floors, making it convenient for boarding wheelchairs, strollers, and anything else with wheels. If the trains look too crowded, consider DART buses -- they can get you to the game, too!.
  9. Start early: To ensure you're in your seat for the kickoff, DART encourages you to allow extra time and take advantage of early transit service. Trains typically begin filling more than two hours before kickoff.
  10. Pass it along: Know friends that are going to the fair but not the game? Tell them they can save $5 on fair admission by using the promo code 24DARTSAVE when purchasing their fair admission on the State Fair's website.

DART Rail

DART will offer additional Green Line and Red Line service on Saturday, Oct. 12 to make your trip to the game a snap.

Two rail stations serve the fairgrounds -- Fair Park Station, located on Parry Avenue at the entrance to the fairgrounds, and MLK, Jr. Station, located south of R.B. Cullum Boulevard and convenient to the MLK fairground entrance (Gate 6) and Cotton Bowl Stadium.

If you’re riding DART Rail or the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) to downtown Dallas, you can easily transfer to the Green Line. From downtown Dallas, board Green Line trains marked “BUCKNER,” “LAWNVIEW” or “FAIR PARK”:

  • Southbound Red, Blue, and Orange Line passengers transfer to the Green Line at Pearl/Arts District Station  -- unless you’re already on one of the four special Red Line trains from Parker Road Station to Fair Park Station.
  • Northbound Red and Blue Line passengers transfer to the Green Line at Akard Station.
  • Eastbound Orange Line passengers transfer to the Green Line at Bachman Station.
  • TRE passengers transfer to the Green Line or a shuttle bus at Victory Station.
  • Extra Green Line trains will run between Victory Station and Lawnview Station beginning approximately three hours prior to the game and continuing until approximately three hours after the game. During that timeframe, Green Line trains will run approximately every five to 10 minutes.
  • All Orange Line trains will offer extended service to Parker Road Station that day.

  • Between the Red Line, Orange Line and special trains, DART will offer service approximately every 10 minutes along the North Central Expressway Corridor before and after the game.
  • DART will offer four special Red Line trains southbound from Parker Road Station directly into Fair Park. These trains will be marked “SPECIAL EVENT” on their destination sign. After the game, there will also be four special northbound Red Line trains from Fair Park Station to Parker Road Station. These trains will be marked “PARKER ROAD” on their destination sign.
  • Blue Line and Orange Line trains will operate their normal weekend schedule on that Saturday.
  • All rail lines will return to regular service three hours after the game.
