DALLAS – Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Dallas-Fort Worth are partnering to present a full-day event exploring the transformative role of transit-oriented development (TOD) in shaping communities. The event will be held on March 27 from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and will feature four engaging panels with industry leaders discussing public-private partnerships (P3s), the role of TOD in generating housing, jobs, tax revenue, and other thought-provoking topics.
The event will bring together transit executives, urban development experts, and public sector leaders to examine opportunities and challenges in creating successful transit-oriented communities.
Event Highlights
- Transit Leadership Roundtable (8:45–10:15 a.m.)
- CEOs from major transit agencies, including DART, Trinity Metro, CapMetro, and METRO Houston, will discuss the evolving role of transit agencies in urban development.
- P3s for TODs: Exploring Challenges & Opportunities (10:15–11:45 a.m.)
- A panel of public and private sector leaders will examine how strategic partnerships can drive successful TOD projects.
- The Impact of TOD on Housing, Job Creation, and Tax Revenue (1:15–2:45 p.m.)
- A diverse panel of experts will discuss how TOD can expand housing options, stimulate job growth, and enhance local revenue

- Transit leaders from around the world will provide a global perspective on transit-oriented development successes, challenges, and lessons learned.
