Dallas Area Rapid Transit Welcomes a New DART Board Member, Richard M. Grady
Grady has been selected to represent the cities of Plano and Farmers Branch and replaces M. Nathan Barbera on the DART Board of Directors.

DALLAS TX, October 30, 2026 — Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) announced Richard Grady as the agency's new DART Board member representing Plano and Farmers Branch. Grady brings more than 30 years of experience in economic transparency, regulatory management, and consumer advocacy.

"We are excited to welcome Richard Grady to our esteemed board of directors, whose more than 30 years of experience in financial stewardship and executive leadership make him an exceptional addition to our organization,” said Randall Bryant, DART Board Chairman. “His institutional knowledge across the finance, technology, and public policy sectors speak volumes about his dedication to community and building strong institutions.”

Grady, a decorated Vietnam Army veteran, previously served in executive leadership roles at public and private financial institutions where he drove mergers and acquisitions, corporate intelligence, spearheaded technological developments, and consistently delivered impactful results. His leadership resulted in increased operational efficiency and the successful adoption of improved policy frameworks.

“I am inspired by DART’s strategic foresight and their mission to improve passenger mobility in the North Texas region. It is an absolute honor to serve both Plano and Farmers Branch as their DART Board representative,” said Grady. “It is a privilege to step into this role, and I am eager to contribute my skills toward advancing DART’s mission.”

Grady served for eight years on the Plano City Council and was its representative to the Regional Transportation Council and the Dallas Regional Mobility Coalition. Grady serves as a board member of the TX 600 Continuum of Care, a member on the Veterans Committee, a board member and president of the Collin County Homeless Coalition, and a member of the City of Plano’s Community Relations Commission.
