DART's transit fleet keeps getting cleaner. Each of its 95 electric light rail vehicles has the emissions of a golf cart. The agency already has one of the nation's largest fleets of clean-fueled buses and is taking the next steps to bringing zero emission buses to North Texas. Irving, Garland, Richardson and Plano are some of DART's member cities participating in the fair. DART vendors will showcase their products and how they recycle everything from scrap metal to batteries, fluorescent lights, paint and solvents and nearly 400 tons of paper. -- 30 -- |
