Dec. 12 The 2021 BMW Dallas Marathon and Half Marathon are scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 12. The 50th running of the marathon course begins and ends in Downtown Dallas and highlights the best areas of our beautiful city. Along the way, runners will pass through various popular neighborhoods with exciting cheer stations and on-course entertainment before finishing the race at Dallas City Hall Plaza. The race supports Scottish Rite for Children. Information: www.rundallas.com.
  • Via DART Rail Red Line, Blue Line, Green Line or Orange Line to Akard Station, then a short walk
  • Note: DART passengers on the southern portion of the Green Line and bus routes throughout north and east Dallas should leave early and pack patience on Sunday, Dec. 12, during the 2021 BMW Dallas Marathon. Green Line rail service will be suspended between Baylor University Medical Center and Fair Park stations, requiring customers traveling in either direction to use DART bus shuttles from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. In addition, bus routes 2, 11, 12, 19, 21, 26, 29, 35, 52, 59, 60, 76, 81/82, 110, 111, 164 and 749 (Stemmons-Design District Service) will be on detour for the duration of the race. Dec. 28 Experience a great football game in appreciation of the people who put their lives on the line everyday to help others. The Air Force Falcons and Louisville Cardinals meet up in the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl where we recognize our friends and neighbors across our communities who protect and serve. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. at Gerald J. Ford Stadium on the SMU campus. The FirstNet Fan Zone is a free Fan Zone area located on the Boulevard just West of the stadium. Everyone can enjoy all the interactive booths and first responder displays. The area will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Information: www.firstresponderbowl.com.
