DART to the State Fair
Every Texan's favorite fall tradition has returned. That's right! The State Fair is back Sept. 24-Oct. 17. If you are riding DART to the fair, here are some helpful tips to make your trip a smooth experience.

Green Line to the State Fair
Skip traffic and parking expenses - take the Green Line, which drops you off right at the Main Gate (Fair Park Station) or a couple of blocks from Gate 6 near the Cotton Bowl (MLK, Jr. Station). Learn more at DART.org/StateFair.

Contactless payment
DART encourages all riders to buy their passes with one of our contactless fare payment options. Use the GoPass® app, GoPass Tap® card, or now use your contactless credit/debit card or payment-enabled mobile device. These are the safest and best ways to purchase a pass so that you can avoid contact with surfaces that others may have touched.

Download the latest version of GoPass in the Apple App Store or Google Play. Purchase Discount Tap cards at 7-Eleven stores or other participating retailers. Learn more at GoPass.org.

Keep it safe
Masks are still required on all DART vehicles. You'll find free mask dispensers, as well as hand sanitizer, onboard all DART buses and trains.

Free parking
Park for free at any one of DART's Park & Ride stations. Each of DART's four light rail lines has numerous points in downtown Dallas where you can transfer to the Green Line. If you're riding the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) or DCTA A-train, transfers are a snap - both connect directly to the Green Line at Victory Station.

Consider the bus
There's more than one way to get to the fair on DART. In addition to the Green Line, DART Bus Routes 60, 111, 409, and 595 will drop you off near the main entrance of the fair. To see if a DART Bus fits your itinerary, visit DART.org/schedules or use the Google Transit trip planner at DART.org.

Cleaning and Protection
Your safety and protection are top priorities at DART, which is why we will continue to follow the cleaning and disinfecting recommendations of local, state, and national health authorities, including the Texas Department of State Health Services and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In addition to thorough nightly cleanings, DART buses and trains are also cleaned on a rotating basis throughout the day, focusing on high-touch surfaces such as handrails, door buttons, and grab rails.

State Fair Attractions
Corny dogs, Big Tex and Midway rides! All the iconic elements of the State Fair of Texas are back. After a year's absence, Big Tex is welcoming fairgoers with this year's theme: "Howdy, Folks!" Fair highlights include:

The State Fair of Texas Rodeo has everything from bull riding to cow milking, and it happens every weekend during the fair. Each week has a theme, such as Cowboys of Color Rodeo, Mexican Rodeo Celebration, Youth Rodeo Bull Buckin' Weekend, and more. The rodeos are free with admission.

The Midway is one of the fair's signature attractions, with more than 70 rides. There's the iconic Texas Star Ferris wheel, of course, plus the 500-foot-tall Top o' Texas tower, the historic Dentzel Carousel, and dozens of ways to test your skill and walk away with a stuffed animal or other prize.

¡Fiestas de Marionetas! is a miniature town populated by 85 marionettes. They come to life in a colorful, creative landscape. Afterwards, check out a backstage tour that includes craft activities. It's all at the McDonald's Amphitheater.
