Discount GoPass® Tap Card

DARTmart EXTENDED HOURS

During January 2024, DARTmart will be open for extended hours to give you more opportunities to renew your Discount GoPass Tap card registration.

Saturday Hours:	Jan. 20 and Jan. 27	9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Weekday Hours:	Jan. 22-26	7:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

Current Discount GoPass Tap card holders must renew their card registration by Jan. 31, 2024, to keep their discount.

Qualify for Half Fare

You may qualify for DART’s 50% off Discount GoPass® Tap card!

Go anywhere a DART bus or train can take you - for half the price! From work and school to shops and entertainment, your destinations are DARTable.

NOTE: A Regional fare is required for the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) west of CentrePort/DFW Airport Station, as well as the Trinity Metro or Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) systems.

If you've met the qualifications for any of the following assistance programs, you automatically qualify for a Discount GoPass® Tap Card.

Registration Tips

1. Gather proof of your current participation in one of the above qualifying assistance programs.

A current participant card or agency letter are valid forms of proof. They must have your name on them. Scan or take a clear photo of the document.

2. Take your photo.

Have someone else take a headshot photo of you from the shoulders up, forward facing, square to the camera, with a plain neutral background. Do not wear a hat, sunglasses, or shaded glasses. Do not submit a selfie photo, a photo of a photo, or a photo or scan of your driver's license.

3. Verify your Identification and Eligibility

If you have been provided a referral code, please enter it.

4. Register online OR call to register.

5. Your Discount GoPass® Tap Card will arrive by U.S. Mail within 15 business days.

The card is free, but you must load it with at least $6 to get started - that's equal to two Reduced Day Passes.

What is fare capping?

When you tap your card, you are never charged more than the cost of a Day Pass (Local or Reduced) in a single day, or a Monthly Pass (Local or Reduced) in a calendar month. The system always gives you the "best fare."

For example, let's look at the following scenario:

8:00 a.m.	You tap your card, $1.50 will be deducted for a Reduced AM pass.
11:30 a.m.	You board again and are charged nothing, because it is still within the AM Pass period.
3:00 p.m.	You board (tap) again, the system charges you $1.50 for a PM Pass. Total fare for the day is only $3, exactly the cost of Reduced Day Pass.

If you tap your card mornings and afternoons for 16 days in a given month, you will have spent the same as a Reduced Monthly Pass - and for the rest of the month, you will pay nothing! You will still need to tap your card when you board, however.

What if I lose my Discount GoPass Tap card?

If your card is lost or stolen, call DART Customer Service at 214-979-1111, Option 1, or log on to GoPass.org

DART will freeze your account so that no one can use your card. You will still retain any funds that remain on it. However, you will be asked to add a $6 minimum value to your new card. This will be added to the overall balance
