DART Inclement Weather Service Update 1/25 9:00am
DALLAS, Texas, January 25, 2026, Due to limited man power and severe weather conditions across North Texas, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is operating under modified service today to prioritize the safety of our riders, operators, and frontline teams while maintaining service on the most frequently used routes.
Bus Service Update
As of 8:30 a.m., DART is prioritizing service on bus routes 1 through 122. Service on less frequent routes may be limited; however, DART vehicles will canvas those areas to help ensure no customers are left waiting at lower frequency stops.
Rail Service Update
For DART rail services, customers should plan for delays of up to 60 minutes due to weather-related operating conditions.
Bus bridges have been established at the following locations to support rail customer connectivity:
A-LBJ Skillman to Rowlett
B- 8th Corinth to UNT
C- 8th Corinth to Westmoreland
D- Bachman to Belt Line

Dallas Area Rapid Transit has made adjustments to service to ensure the safety of our riders and operators. These changes may impact trips to or within your city. Current changes include:
- Bus
- End bus service early across the service area beginning at midnight tonight
- Bus service will resume at 6 a.m. Sunday, January 25, 2026 and end midnight Sunday night
- End bus service early across the service area beginning at midnight tonight
- Rail
- Silver Line, and light rail will continue to run regular service hours through the weekend
Please note: Due to weather conditions at the ends of the line, light rail is being served by bus shuttles at these locations and will continue to run for the full rail service hours:
- Blue Line:
- LBJ/Skillman to Downtown Rowlett
- 8th & Corinth to UNT
- Green Line:
- Farmers Branch to North Carrollton
(Riders at and between those rail stations will need to board buses at the station to continue their journey.)
- All other Services
- GoLink, paratransit, and Streetcar are all running regular service hours through the weekend
Crews are actively working to address conditions and restore service safely. Customers should expect delays and allow extra travel time. DART advises residents to travel only if necessary and monitor and subscribe for service announcements at www.DART.org/servicealerts or the GoPass app for up-to-date information. Inclement Weather Preparations
Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is preparing for potential severe weather rolling through North Texas. There are no planned service reductions, though weather conditions may necessitate adjustments to keep riders and operators safe.
Operational Preparations DART is Undertaking:
- Bus
- Identifying routes with historically dangerous road conditions during winter weather events to prepare if re-routes are required
- Treating bus stops, walkways and transit centers to prevent icing
- Light Rail
- Trains will run 24-hours during the expected weather to prevent conditions from forming on equipment during downtimes. Passengers will only be picked up during normal operating hours.
- Will deploy ice scrapers/cutters along the light rail wires to prevent overhead catenaries – on which the train travels – from icing over and losing power.
- Treating platforms and walkways to prevent icing.
- Treating doors and windows on vehicles to prevent freezing and damage.
- Paratransit & GoLink
- Overstaffing to ensure riders can access transit
- All paratransit trips will be completed as scheduled
- Streetcar
- Streetcar will deploy ice cutter/scraper
- Maintenance, Safety and Support
- Overstaffing at all levels to respond to issues
- Partnering with city and county agencies to prepare and respond
- DART will operate an emergency operations center, providing real time updates and communication internally & externally and with partners across the North Texas region
- DARTMart & Lost & Found
- DARTMart at 1401 Pacific Ave will close at noon Friday, January 23
- DARTMart and Lost & Found will be closed on Monday, January 26
- Customer Relations and Support
- Customer Relations (routes, scheduling, trip planning) will remain open for normal hours, 5 a.m. -12 a.m., 7 days a week
- Customer Support (requests, comments, suggestions) will operate normal hours, Mon-Fri 8a – 5p.

- Allow for additional travel time to reach your destination
