Erick Gonzalez, an Irving high school senior from Jack E. Singley Academy, was selected the 2011 grand prize winner in Dallas Area Rapid Transit's (DART) Annual Student Poster Contest.

As the grand prize winner under the theme "It's All Connected," Erick's artwork will appear on DART buses from May through August and on the web page at www.DART.org.

The entry by Erick was selected from among 213 entries submitted by students from 24 schools throughout the DART service area.

First place winners were chosen from five different grade-level categories: kindergarten through first grade, second through third grade, fourth through fifth grade, sixth through eighth grade, and ninth through twelfth grade.

Each first place winner in the kindergarten through fifth grade categories will receive a Radio Disney presentation for their class; each first place winner in middle and high school levels will have their artwork featured at DART rail stations and inside DART trains.
