Grovefest goes green thanks to DART Rail
This year's Grovefest features a special new ride, the DART Rail Green Line between Buckner and Lawnview stations on Saturday, October 30.
Grovefest 2010 takes place at DART's new Lake June Station and marks the end of a month-long celebration in the southeast Dallas Pleasant Grove neighborhood. Enjoy food, music, games, prizes, rides, bounce houses, rock wall, and arts and crafts. DART is offering preview rides of some of the new Green Line stations on the southeast corridor. Park for free at either Buckner or Lawnview stations then ride to Lake June Station. Grovefest is open between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The 28-mile DART Rail Green Line is the largest light rail project under construction in North America. The first section of the line opened September 2009 and the final 24 miles and 15 stations, including those in Pleasant Grove, open on December 6.
