For two weekends, August, 23-24, August 30-September 1
DART Rail Service Interruption between West End Station and Convention Center Station On August 23-24 and August 30-September 1, shuttle buses will replace DART Rail service between Convention Center and West End stations in downtown Dallas as DART performs track work on the first section of its Northwest Corridor light rail extension.
The tracks under construction will connect Union and West End stations with the future Victory Station at American Airlines Center. Victory Station is scheduled to open in fall 2004 with special-event service and will be the first station on the DART Rail Northwest Corridor. The Northwest Corridor will connect downtown Dallas to Farmers Branch, Carrollton, Irving and DFW International Airport.
Service Interruption
At Convention Center Station, shuttle buses will depart south of Memorial Drive for Trinity Railway Express (TRE)/Amtrak connections at Union Station or DART Rail Red Line or Blue Line connections at West End Station.
At West End Station, southbound shuttle buses will depart from Lamar St. at Pacific Ave. for TRE/Amtrak connections at Union Station or DART Rail Red Line or Blue Line connections at Convention Center Station.
At Union Station, northbound and southbound shuttle buses will depart from Houston St. at Young St. for DART Rail Red Line or Blue Line connections at Convention Center Station (southbound) or West End Station (northbound). The TRE will operate regular service from Union Station on both Saturdays during the service interruption. There is no TRE service on Sunday, August 24, Sunday, August 31, or Labor Day, September 1.
DART Labor Day Holiday Schedule
DART Rail and bus services will follow a Sunday schedule on Monday, September 1, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
