Using DART is easier than ever
Convenient Trip Planner Debuts on DART.org
Customers can now plan bus and rail trips from the convenience of their personal computers with DART's new trip-planning service on www.DART.org.
Three years in the making, the online trip planner officially debuted on the website January 6, following extensive testing. It is already averaging more than 800 visits a day and is receiving positive reviews from customers. The online trip planner was developed to make using DART more convenient.
The technology behind the trip planner is a slimmed-down version of that used by DART's customer service representatives. The new tool supplements the efforts of the representatives, who remain available seven days a week to customers who would like help developing a personal trip plan. Customers can also purchase affordable monthly passes through the online DART Store at DART.org.
Overall, DART's official website averages about 5,000 visitors daily. The launch of the DART.org trip planner is the result of a team effort by DART staff in Information Technology and Marketing and Communications. DART invited online customers to help test the trip planner prior to its official launch. More than 300 daily customers tried out the tool during its three-week trial in December and January.
