It's ZooLogical: DART customers save 50% on Zoo admission on Mondays, Tuesdays, starting April 3
More monkeys on Mondays, twice the tigers on Tuesdays
Check out cheetahs for cheap at the Dallas Zoo on Mondays and Tuesdays when you ride DART.
Starting Monday, April 3, DART customers with valid light rail tickets, current monthly passes or bus transfers can visit the zoo on Mondays and Tuesdays for 50% off the regular $6 adult and $3 child admissions. Just present the ticket or transfer from that day's trip at the box office across the street from DART's Dallas Zoo Rail Station. Each ticket or transfer is good for one discounted zoo admission on the day the ticket or transfer is issued.
While you're there, take time to experience Primate Place -- naturalistic exhibits showcasing seven species of primates; Snout Route -- featuring animals with unusual noses including elephants, anteaters, and hornbills; the Wilds of Africa -- highlighting chimpanzees, gorillas, meerkats and other African wildlife; Lemur Lookout -- featuring four species of lemurs living together in one habitat and of course the Exxon Endangered Tiger Habitat -- the new home of Paul and Sasha, the zoo's rare Sumatran tigers.
So now, instead of glaring at the giant giraffe from the highway, make like a kangaroo and hop the train to see the real thing up close. The promotion is scheduled to end February 27, 2001. For more Dallas Zoo information, call 214-670-5656 or go to their website, www.Dallas-Zoo.org. For help planning your safari to the zoo or anywhere else you want to roam on DART, call 214-979-1111 or visit the DART website, DART.org.
