Miller Lite to provide free DART rides New Year's Eve

Miller Lite and Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) have teamed up for the third year to provide a safe travel option to driving on New Year's Eve with free rides on all buses, light rail trains, paratransit vehicles and the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) from Union Station to CentrePort/DFW Airport Station.


The partnership between Miller Lite and DART means no passes, tickets, GoPass app, coupons or money will be required to ride safely Sun., Dec. 31, from 6 p.m. until end of service.

The program began locally in 2015. Miller Lite Free Rides has provided more than 70,000 people in North Texas with safe, alternative transportation on New Year's Eve. Last year, more than 30,000 people took advantage of a Miller Lite Free Ride.

Look for New Year's Eve schedules at DART.org and TrinityRailwayExpress.org.

Sun., Dec. 31
  • DART - Bus and rail service will operate on a regular Sunday schedule.
  • TRE - Special New Year's Eve service will be provided from Union Station to CentrePort/DFW Airport Station only. Schedules are available at TrinityRailwayExpress.org.
  • Miller Lite Free Rides begin on both DART and TRE at 6 p.m. until end of service.
  • A final TRE train leaves Union Station at 2 a.m.
  • Final DART light rail trains leave from West End Station in Downtown Dallas at:
    • 1:14 a.m., Red Line to Parker Road;
    • 1:17 a.m., Blue Line to Downtown Rowlett;
    • 1:26 a.m., Green Line to North Carrollton/Frankford Road;
    • 10:24 p.m., Orange Line to LBJ/Central;
    • 1:20 a.m., Red Line to Westmoreland;
    • 1:36 a.m., Blue Line to UNT Dallas;
    • 1:36 a.m., Green Line to Buckner;
    • and 11:41 p.m., Orange Line to DFW Airport.
  • Dallas Streetcar - A final streetcar leaves Union Station at 12:50 a.m. and Bishop Arts at 1:08 a.m.
  • DART's Customer Information Center - Schedule information is available by calling 214-979-1111 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Paratransit - Regular service provided. Customers may begin calling Thurs., Dec. 28, to schedule service through Tues., Jan. 2. Customers should call 214.515.7272 and choose Option 3 to schedule their trip. Next day scheduling is also available using X-Press Booking, web booking or semi-automated voicemail.
Mon., Jan. 1
  • DART administrative offices are closed.
  • DART - Sunday schedule.
  • TRE - No service.
  • DART's Customer Information Center - Schedule information is available by calling 214-979-1111 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Paratransit Services for customers with disabilities will operate on a Saturday schedule. The Paratransit Scheduling Center will also be closed. Regular subscription trips are canceled on Mon., Jan. 1. Customers needing service for Jan. 1 are encouraged to begin calling on Thurs., Dec. 28. Next day scheduling is also available using X-Press Booking, web booking and the semi-automated voice mail system.
  • DART On-Call - Will not operate.
Tues., Jan. 2
  • DART - Regular weekday schedule.
  • TRE - Regular weekday schedule.
  • Paratransit - DART Paratransit Services for customers with disabilities will operate regularly.
