Bike to Work Day and DART Energizer Stations this Friday!
Dallas Area Rapid Transit encourages commuters to get it in gear and get ready for national Bike to Work Day, Friday, May 20.
Before heading to work stop by one of eight energizer stations set up by DART and local bike enthusiasts to celebrate commuting by cyclists in North Texas and those who want to start. Get information on local area bike shop partners along with free bike tune-ups, treats, promotional items and tips on safety from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m.
Energizer stations for 2016 will be at: DART's Downtown Plano Station, 1001 E. 16th St.; Downtown Rowlett Station, 5000 Martin Drive; St. Paul Station on Bryan Ave in downtown Dallas; Arapaho Center Station, 1051 N. Greenville Ave. in Richardson; Farmers Branch Station, 12800 Denton Road; Addison Transit Center, 4925 Arapaho Rd.; Trinity Railway Express' (TRE) Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing Station, 201 Rock Island Rd; and at the Dallas Streetcar's Oakenwald stop, 1501 N. Zang Blvd.
This event is an annual effort to improve conditions and awareness of combining transit and bicycling as a viable means of green, clean and healthy transportation. Choose your energizer station this year, invite your friends and join the fun!
