Media Relations Contact: April 10, 2015 Carrollton first grader receives top award Art Contest Winners Announced by DART Sanjana Arudala, a 1st-grader at McCoy Elementary School in Carrollton, is this year's Best of Show winner in Dallas Area Rapid Transit�s (DART) 2015 Student Art Contest. Arudala's winning artwork themed "Explore Your World with DART" will be recognized as the best of more than 1,300 entries at an April 16 ceremony held at the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA). The artwork will be displayed on the side of a DART bus traveling across the agency's 13-city service area through September. North Texas students from kindergarten through 12th grade participated in this year's contest held annually to help promote the use of public transportation and sponsored by DART and partners Dallas Contemporary, Half Price Books, Perot Museum of Nature and Science, Dallas Zoo, the DMA, NBC5, Telemundo, Dallas Morning News and Al Dia. Arudala's winning entry along with various grade-level first, second, third place and honorable mention winners can be seen at www.DART.org/artcontest.
