DART sparkles with July 4th celebrations
Summer is a great time for families to enjoy the freedom and ease of riding Dallas Area Rapid Transit. And there's no better time than the Independence Day celebrations, fireworks, parades and music festivals to get on board.
Information on the some of the major area events can be found at DART.org/Fireworks or by calling Customer Information at 214-979-1111. When making plans remember that DART bus and light rail follow a Sunday schedule, and the Trinity Railway Express will not operate on Thursday, July 4.

Addison Kaboom Town features dazzling fireworks choreographed to music, plus great food, live music, and the spectacular Addison Airport Air Show featuring the Cavanaugh Flight Museum Warbird Flyover.

The 33rd Plano Lions Independence Day Parade celebrates the city's colorful past and bright future with floats, marching bands, antique cars and entries by dozens of businesses and community organizations.

Enjoy a Fourth of July Parade at 9 a.m. in the Irving Heritage District. Immediately following the parade, enjoy a free watermelon reception and concert at Heritage Park, 217 Main Street.
