General Information

DART's project decision is based on a public opinion survey to help establish priorities. Citizen input is also encouraged by local governments. Citizens have multiple opportunities to voice their opinions on DART projects. They can get involved with transportation planning by attending a public hearing or meeting or reading the minutes in our announcements. DART is committed to improving the transportation system and hopes citizens take steps toward participation and help DART build better community relationships.

2024 Fare Restructure – Community Meetings

DART is engaging the community for comments regarding a proposed fare restructure. The agency will host community meetings throughout the service area. During these events, DART staff will outline the new fare proposal and receive your feedback.

This process will include a formal public hearing on Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 6 p.m. at DART Headquarters (located at Akard Station – 1401 Pacific Ave., Dallas, TX, 75202).

DART designs community meetings to provide residents, business owners, and those seeking additional information on the Silver Line project with an in-depth overview of the project with highlights specific to their city. Biannual meetings are held every winter and summer. Check when your community will host its next meeting below:

Future Service Projects: A Call for Feedback

DART will host a series of Community Meetings during March to seek public input on the Bus Network and other system improvements planned for 2024 and beyond.

Riders from throughout the service area are encouraged to attend one of 10 meetings to share their ideas on topics such as Phase Two of the New Bus Network, Corridor Investments, Passenger Amenities, Fleet Transition Plans and Operating Facilities, plus how these relate to each individual community.
