Ride DART for Direct Service to the Red River Showdown

Your Game Day Transit Guide

DART is optimizing our services for fans heading to and from the Cotton Bowl for the Texas vs. Oklahoma football game on Saturday, October 11. Extra buses and trains will be running to get thousands of fans to Fair Park. New this year: DART and the State Fair will have a dedicated lot available for Game Day bus departures – parking Lot 8.

Game Day Shuttle Service

 

Coming from out of town? From Dallas and want to avoid parking at Fair Park? Special buses will begin running at 9 a.m. from several DART stations, directly to the game, giving fans plenty of time to arrive before the 2:30 p.m. kickoff. Riders can catch shuttles at:

 

    • Victory Station is served by DART’s Green Line, Orange Line and the Trintiy Railway Express: 2525 Victory Ave., Dallas, Texas 75219.
    • SMU/Mockingbird Station is served by DART’s Blue Line, Orange Line and Red Line: 5465 E. Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, Texas 75206.
    • Bachman Station is served by DART’s Green Line and Orange Line: 9739 Denton Drive, Dallas, Texas 75220.
    • City Line/Bush Station is served by DART’s Red Line and Orange Line: 1300 E. President Bush Turnpike, Richardson, Texas 75082
    • Trinity Mills Station is served by DART’s Green Line: 2525 Blanton Dr, Carrollton, Texas 75006

    Shuttles will run every 30 minutes before the game, dropping fans off directly inside Fair Park at Lot 8, just steps away from the Midway Gate. Bus shuttle riders will receive color-coded wristbands and see large flags marking bus boarding areas to ensure quick boarding and easy navigation

    After the Final Whistle

    To help streamline departures, buses will be lined up at Lot 8 to take fans back to their original station.

     


    IMPORTANT: Buses will begin departing from Fair Park after the game is over and up to two hours after the game ends so there’s time to celebrate or recover before heading home.


     

    Fans utilizing the bus shuttles to go home should note the signage on the buses and remember to keep their wrist band to find the appropriate shuttle.

    On the Rail Side

    DART’s Green Line trains will operate every 15 minutes throughout game day, with additional trains added as needed to help handle the crowds. Fans can ride directly to Fair Park Station MLK Jr. Station, both just a short walk to the stadium gates.

    Fans will see DART staff helping riders find their way to the buses and the trains. Depending on the amount of people riding the train, it may be faster to board a bus to your final destination. Train riders who are asked to board buses for departure will be dropped off at DART’s Pearl/Arts District Station, located in Downtown Dallas to board the rail line to their final destination. Be sure to remember which DART station you utilized and download the GoPass app ahead of time.

    Tips for a Smooth Ride

    • Bus shuttle riders will receive color-coded wristbands and see large flags marking bus boarding areas to ensure quick boarding and easy navigation.
    • Purchase your DART passes in advance using the GoPass® app to avoid long lines.
    • Arrive early, as crowds are expected and trains will be busy.
    • DART staff may direct riders to board shuttles instead of trains depending on the crowd size.
